We are located in the new Bankstown Arts Centre at the corner of Olympic Pde and Dale Ave Bankstown
New members of any age group are made welcome when joining this non-profit organisation. Our club has a long history dating from 1964. 

The Bankstown Lapidary Club is a very active club, constantly seeking to improve the activities and facilities we offer our members and to introduce new activities.

Our last mineral exhibition was a tremendous success with so much to see.Visiting our show case is definitely worth while.      NB

 OUR  AGM IS ON WEDNESDAY 15 th  FEB AT  8PM  SHARP IN OUR CLUB ROOMS.

As some of the more senior members of our management committee are resigning  we are asking that some of the younger members put their hands up to take up these positions. Unfortunately for the club we are losing the ones who have given selflessly over a period of many years - they have earnt their right to have some time to themselves now. I know some of the younger members are devoted members, so here is your opportunity to come forward and help run the club. Many have great ideas regarding projects that could happen -  being on the management committee will give you an inside view on how the club is run and the opportunity to organise and see these ideas through - our club cannot run without a secretary, president and treasurer- so we cannot afford to lose these positions from management.

 It will not take all of your time and all help will be given - these jobs will take just a few hours of your time each week.

 The aims of the club are

• to promote the enjoyment and appreciation of lapidary crafts,
• to provide members with lapidary skills in the various activities we offer,
• provide quality facilities and equipment for club members to carry out their lapidary hobby,
• conduct field trips to gem localities to fossick for material to be used in members hobby.

• Faceting of Gemstones
• Cabochoning of Gemstones
• Metal Smithing in Silver
• Carving using bone and ornamnetal stones
• Field Trips to visit exciting gem sites.
• and much much more......

Closure of Club Rooms
Please note: The club is closed on Saturdays of any long weekend and from Good Friday up to and including Easter Monday
General Meeting
Our club’s general monthly meetings are always held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month in our club rooms  Presently they are at 12.30pm, and our Annual General Meeting is always held on the third Wednesday night in February at 8pm.
