Most Artists would have made a painting that really pleases them.

For several reasons: Firstly, they may have accomplished more than what they have set out to do.

“This is the best I have ever done.”

Or maybe an “ Out of nowhere” work. A new subject that has bought out of you, a new style of work, which becomes your own, a signature style that no one else is doing.

Other times you may see an exceptionally beautiful location. Your first painting of that area is a “Real Beauty” One you are reluctant to sell. It may take you years to do another as good, or you may never do so. These often go into the Collection of the Artist. But mostly they end up in the “Wish I could have that painting back” category

What I consider the best work I have done (to date) is in the collection of my son Adrian. At least I can visit them.
